James D. Hornfischer is the author of ten bestselling novels. His work has been translated into more than a dozen languages and has been nominated for the Edgar, Anthony, and Grand Prix awards. In addition, he is also a columnist for the "Los Angeles Times" and a member of the board of directors for the National Book Critics Circle
He is a graduate of Columbia University and received his MFA from the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop. He lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and two sons.
